Day of Caring

During the 2019 Day of Caring, the ACMG Foundation presented specially-adapted bicycles and helmets to Seattle-area children from the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) and Little People of America (LPA). This event took place during the 2019 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting and was made possible through the generous support of PerkinElmer. The sentiments of ACMG Foundation President, Dr. Bruce R. Korf, FACMG are shared by many, “The Day of Caring is one of the highlights of the ACMG Meeting, reminding us of the people who live with the genetic conditions we are studying and for which we provide care. This is our chance to rededicate ourselves to the care of all persons with genetic conditions.”
