This ACMG Foundation award publicly celebrates the contributions and accomplishments of licensed genetic counselors by presenting a cash prize to the genetic counselor judged as having the best abstract at ACMG’s Annual Genetics Meeting. Any genetic counselor may apply for consideration by checking the appropriate box on their abstract submission form.
Applicants whose submissions qualify as a platform or poster presentation are then ranked by ACMG Program Committee members. The annual winner receives a cash prize of $1,000, may attend the ACMG Foundation’s donor reception at that year’s Annual Meeting, and receives recognition at that year’s Annual Meeting, including via ACMG’s social media platforms.
